Trudeau has shot down the idea, but it’s still nice to sign a petition asking to bar Trump from the upcoming G7 spring summit in Canada. It’s currently at over 52k signatures. The one about stripping Musk of his Canadian citizenship is at over 350k signatures!
The case of Mark Carney’s private assets is an interesting one. The Conservatives are doing their job challenging this, although it’s for obviously selfish reasons, and I’m sure they have twice as many conflicts of interest in their ranks but hey, interesting nonetheless.
Mozilla recently changed Firefox’s ToS and everyone is (rightfully) freaking out. The most telling is this change to the welcome page shown after a software update. “Unlike other companies, we don’t sell access to your data” is gone. Mozilla is an ads company now.

I’m all for more trains across Canada, so a Quebec City/Toronto high-speed rail would be GREAT (even though I’m on the other side of the continent), but I agree with some of this opinion piece. The timing and wording seems hypocritical, and how that private consortium relates to VIA Rail smells like trouble.
