My American friends (and maybe those of us working in US companies too) may want to know about the National Shutdown coming up this Friday: general strike across the US to defund ICE. That’s your last card before reaching for guns, so make sure to play it right.
“Phantom Obligation” is a nicely written and beautifully designed article that, basically, asks: “why do RSS readers look like email clients?”. It’s as much an eye-opening question as it is an interesting answer.
“Progress” in consumer tech is when my phone becomes utterly unusable under even the lightest rain. That’s what we get for letting a Californian company set tech trends.
My 6-year-old iPad Pro became unusable for drawing (it was adding random lines all the time) so I got a new one and ho ho ho the volume buttons have moved and are flipped. I keep getting confused.
The US are trying to destabilize Canada and of course the weak link is Alberta, as evidenced by the tens of thousands of morons signing separatist petitions, and Danielle Smith’s misguided opinions. I hope the other Albertans can fix this! 🇨🇦🙏🏽

The Federal Conservatives are trying to follow Trump’s playbook to get into power, using social media and influencers, while shunning actual journalists. I really hope that this shit is quickly shut down by Canadians of all sides.
Every “genAI is great for coding, actually!” article I’ve seen is like “and so I spend my day talking to a chatbot, writing requirements in an MD doc, fixing build errors, and asking for unit tests”. Is that supposed to be “great”?! Are these people COMPLETELY DRUNK?! WTF!!
