Designing new TTRPG mechanics

I wanted to grab a digital copy of “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”, the book on which the new Supergirl movie is mostly based, but apparently my choices are (1) Amazon Kindle DRM or (2) DC digital monthly subscription. Digital comics are fucked and I’m tired.

Favourite seasons: (1) Winter, (2) Fall, (3) Spring, (4) Summer.

Yep, summer has always been my least favourite, and climate change isn’t making it any better.

I have recently become obsessed with various people’s TTRPG house rules for seduction and flirting, how varied they are, and how they all say something about their authors 😅 Now I kinda want to make a smooching game where each character class uses different rules/styles to different effect.

The new Cape Fear remake is an example of wha’s been plaguing drama TV for several years: there’s little justification of spending 10 hours for a story that can be told in under two. I seriously doubt that remake has anything new to say that wasn’t said in one of the movies.

Catching up slowly with a ton of comics (both paper and digital) I own but haven’t read yet. Today: some short David Lapham noir thriller!

Studios using UE5 need to realize this right now: the problem isn’t that UE6 deprecates Actors/Blueprints in favour of Verse, or even that Verse is ugly af. The problem is that Verse is not designed to make AAA games. It’s designed to make UEFN/Roblox games. Sooo… good luck to Godot, I guess?
