An interesting take on #TTRPG skilled vs unskilled rolls from The Fantasy Trip:

Extract from The Fantasy Trip:
Players may ask, for instance, “Why can’t I try to climb that tree without the Climbing talent? Everybody can climb!”
The answer is “Easy trees require no roll, harder trees might just require a DX or ST roll. The Climbing talent is for things that everybody can’t climb.”

Continuing my first watch of the original Star Trek series, and I’m currently at the “gremlins” episode.

There’s a new #RuneQuest #Glorantha adventure out in PDF, written by Finmirage and with many illustrations by me (including the cover!) Get it here now! #ttrpg

One important thing with Apple’s new visionOS is that they’ve already announced devkits. People often forget that when the iPhone was announced, the skepticism and backlash was mostly based on its lack of 3rd party app support and how Steve Jobs said it will never happen.

I have no interest in owning a VR headset, including the VisionPro, but Apple’s approach here is so much better than the rest (apart from a couple of nightmare-fuel features). I can’t wait to see these used in arcade rooms, because it solves a LOT of game-design problems.

I finished “Big Little Lies”, a great short drama/mystery series with a stellar cast (not just the main five stars… many other actors, including the children, are great too!) Meryl Streep in season 2 is an absolutely brilliant and brutal villain, loved it.
