I was recently listening to the Titterpigs episode on horror games, where Scott and Keith put out an open question to their audience: can you have a horror game that lets you retain agency throughout the whole adventure? I wrote up some long rant, recorded it, and sent it to them. I figured that, for my trouble, I might as well post that rant (somewhat edited) here too.
Good morning Burnaby, BC !
I hear a lot of false dichotomies in TTRPG spaces… some people don’t seem to realize that we can like both crunchy and rules light games, lore-heavy and procedural settings, and so on. AFAICT most people have quite the range in their tastes in games/movies/music/etc.
Well shit, I apparently reached the age when there is, indeed, such a thing as “too much whipped cream” 😞😣
Good morning Burnaby! Nice spider webs you have everywhere here…
Congrats to Free League on all the ENNIE awards, especially the unsurprising but still well deserved fan favourite publisher award! Vaesen and Alien are great games, YZE is a great system, check them out!
Ptolus is a fucking monster of a book. Seriously it’s huge. I don’t think I’ll ever play it as is, but I’ll definitely borrow ideas here and there! It’s full of them.
My, the new focus and cinematic features in the iPhone 13 camera look VERY interesting
