The British Columbia election results are so ridiculously close that, for the second time since we moved here, we are reminded that every vote counts. I guess we are headed to an NDP+Green government, which is good I guess, it’s nice the see the Green party having some power.
I backed the Ars Magic Definitive Edition crowdfunding, but the thing that gave me pause was the marketing around a “massive” and “expanded” rulebook. I don’t want massive #TTRPG rulebooks! Why is everybody making rulebooks bigger with every edition? Can’t we go back to <256 pages?
Speaking of foreign interference, while everybody’s dealing with Russia, we in Canada do things a bit differently and are currently engaged in a whole thing with the Indian government. You know, FYI, in case you wanted to shake things up in your modern espionage #TTRPG campaign or something.
I’ve been working on-and-off on a “samurai vs yokai” #TTRPG game for a little while now, and every time I do some research, I find yet another existing or upcoming game in that same genre. So I increasingly wonder if I should just abandon my idea and play one of those…
