I finally watched the 4-hours long (yes) Jenny Nicholson video about the Star Wars hotel and it was great! If you only have 10min, watch the “Robbed” segment at the end for a damning summary of Disney’s shareholders pandering.

This in-depth look at the 4K “upgrades” of “Aliens” and “True Lies” is both awesome and totally depressing.

Uh oh, there might be bigger political changes coming to France soon: Durandal, the 1300 years old sword of Roland, knight of Charlemagne, was stolen earlier this week… 😬😓

AFAICT, containing the far-right in the recent French election was possibly because of (1) a higher turnout (almost 60% vs <40% in 2022) and (2) mainstream news covering many terrible far-right candidates one by one and highlighting the party’s Russian ties. Good job everyone!

Well it looks like the French elections are much better than expected: the far-right won more seats but not as much as feared, Macron lost a bunch, and a left-wing union is somehow now ahead. Mediapart has good infographics for you.

It’s getting too hot around B.C. so go relax in the shade with a good ball!

Interesting: the Ladybird browser forked from SerenityOS is now a non-profit led by the Serenity lead dev and the ex-founder/CEO of Github. Wishing them luck… we need successful alternative browsers.

Man it’s heartbreaking to see Okanagan farmers having to get rid of entire fields of peach trees because last winter killed everything. Cold snaps happen but this will happen more and more with climate change. 😫
