Ramblings of General Geekery

I watched Koko-di Koko-da yesterday and… wooo this is a really strange movie. Not sure yet if I liked it or not 😅 But I did like the music box characters, they’re fun and creepy!

“Smile” was quite creepy and fun to watch! A sort of gory “It Follows” with some really cool special effects. Some cheap jump scares, but overall a solid first film from Parker Finn, I’ll definitely follow whatever he works on next.

No detailed “games played” retrospective from me (number-chasing is already too prevalent on social media, thank you), but I’ll say that I’m happy I finally got to start playing Traveller! Plus continuing WFRP and RuneQuest. I’m catching up with all the old stuff! #ttrpg

My kid, after having watched half a James Bond movie: “he seems to be sleeping with a lot of women, but I’m willing to bet he marries exactly zero”. Pretty close, kid…

Piranha Sharks was… something. WTF/minute ratio was high, production values low, just enough budget to seemingly get Kevin Sorbo for one day of shooting, and absolutely ridiculous premise! Still, it’s 31st on Kevin Kulp’s list of 130+ shark movies!

The mysterious t-shirt I mentioned yesterday has been identified and is from the Wyrd Science volume 3 Kickstarter!

“Interview With The Vampire” is pretty good so far. Some interesting changes (the time & place, Louis, the interview, etc) and more gay sex than in the movie (not that much though), but overall it’s the same awesome vampire story with another batch of great actors
