I wasn’t paying attention to the changes in PC hardware these last couple years, so imagine my surprise when my employer sent me this 8TB storage to add to my workstation, while my home NAS still has giant old school hard drives with half that capacity…

All TTRPGs are meant to be “play to find out”. That’s sort of, err, the whole point about playing a #TTRPG?

The British Columbia election results are so ridiculously close that, for the second time since we moved here, we are reminded that every vote counts. I guess we are headed to an NDP+Green government, which is good I guess, it’s nice the see the Green party having some power.

Pending recounts, the NDP may lead by 1 seat, with 6 extra seats vs 5 extra seats for the Conservatives. We will know in a bout a week or so.

I’ve been working on-and-off on a “samurai vs yokai” #TTRPG game for a little while now, and every time I do some research, I find yet another existing or upcoming game in that same genre. So I increasingly wonder if I should just abandon my idea and play one of those…

I voted for the BC Provincial Elections! Pretty easy pick in my riding since the only two candidates are the NDP incumbent, and a BC Conservative guy whose party is a newly formed mess with several bad actors, a problematic leader, and a program that looks like a half-baked copy of the opposition.

Those who talk about using AI to make video game content either (1) misunderstand both how AI and #gamedev tools work or (2) are clever bastards getting extra budget for the procedural generation tools we’ve had for decades

“Hypnotic” is NOT a good movie (unless you bring a few friends to shit-talk through it with pizza and drinks), but funnily enough the main plot-twist was similar to what I did once in a Delta Green #TTRPG game 20 years ago after a PC had been captured by MJ-12. Good times!
