This widely shared Australian take on the recent breakdown in Canada/US trade talks is indeed very entertaining, but it’s wrong on one thing: Trump won’t lose the midterms. He’ll cheat or deploy troops to win. But maybe dealing with a full-blown nazi dictator will make our politics easier.
CBC’s live update page on the US tariff situation mentions that Carney says he will do “whatever it takes” to support business. I wonder if that includes a wealth tax 😅
Carney finally acknowledged how unreliable the US has become and walked away from trade talks. I’m sure he fully expected it would end like this, and was just doing his due diligence before while buying time to setup trade with other countries. That’s the part he’s supposedly good at.
“Ordinary Abundance: Edward Bellamy once imagined that music on demand would be “the limit of human felicity.” A modern apartment is full of things that once drew the same kind of awe.”
This “Golden Axe” animated series trailer came totally out of nowhere, but it definitely brought back fond memories of playing that game over and over as a kid! Love those purple mutant thingies.
Godot adoption is rising, which isn’t surprising if you paid any attention to the industry in the past few years. Interestingly, Unity/UE only decrease a bit. Godot’s rise seems fuelled by people who stop making custom engines, and newcomers to the industry. Expect a generational shift.
