The “pharmacare” bill has just passed into Canadian law, making medication like insulin or birth control covered under the public health system. Remember this was an NDP/Liberal alliance project. Conservatives were mostly absent, and in fact gave spurious reasons to not implement it. The current Conservative party has had very little to contribute to the country for years.
